1874 (Jul 11) Convention mail cover to Livorno, Italy with 1872 2pi perf. 13 1/3 and 20pa perf.12 1/2 x 13 1/3 both typographed, tied by Cairo cds, very fine
Note: A Postal Convention between Egypt and Italy allowed mail between the countries to be franked to the destination in the country of origin. This convention came into force on 1st Jan 1873 and lasted until the UPU began to function on 1st July 1875. Catalogue ref: D18e
