1944, Four Luftfeldpost covers with pairs of the special label (Mi. 1A) and singles of the two French Volunteers sets (Mi. II-V, sheet margins), all tied by FELDPOST / d cds of May 15-20, 1944 and sent to France. Each cover is censored (tape tied by red circular hs), and each has circular “Dienststelle F. P. Nr. 0549” hs on the front. Though the French Legion stamps had no franking power, they are almost unknown on mail handled by the fieldpost system, and these show evidence of having been sent by a French member of the Volunteers.
