Lot 40806 – Official Centennial Torch, 55cm, silvered aluminum

Official Centennial Torch, 55cm, silvered aluminum with wooden handle, with the names of all 23 Olympic cities from 1896 to 1996 inscribed, unused, very fine. The Hellenic Olympic Committee celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the 1896 Olympic Games in the Panathenean Stadium in Athens on April 6, 1996. Part of this celebration was the re-enactment of the 1896 Games and included a torch run within the stadium.
