THE STANLEY LUFT COLLECTION OF POST OFFICES AND POSTAL MARKINGS OF THE ANNEXED PARIS SUBURBS TO THE 1880s
1763-1880, Exhibition collection mounted and written up on +140 pages showing a wealth of covers bearings various postal markings, noted early Petite Poste prephilatelic markings incl. 1763 “PASSY”, 1769 “M’martre” in red ex-Dubus, 1778 “St Mandé” in red, 1795 “Charonne” in red ex-Dubus, “DEB 60 BELLEVILLE”, “DEB. 60 MONTROUGE”, “DEB. 60 BERCY”, several early use of markings, unusual use of 60 / Clichy / Les Batignolles as déboursé marking, specialized Petits Chiffres and Gros Chiffres section incl. destinations, 1F Empire used alone, a strong section of 1870-71 Ballons Montés, wide array of various frankings, etc.
