1840 (Sep 15) 1d Mulready lettersheet, stereo A27, from Leeds to London with Leeds distinctive MC in RED, with Leeds and London bs, address erased, sideflaps removed, still a very rare cancel, this cover is illustrated in Encyclopaedia of the Maltese Cross by Rockoff & Jackson, which states that only “several examples of the Leeds Special in red have been reported,” cert.
