1823 (27.9) Printed folded letter sheet of the Friendly Brothers of St.Patrick, sent by the secretary of the Christ Church Knot to Sir J K James, Grand Secretary un Cavendish Row, the letter was transmitted by favour of the Comptroller of the Dublin Penny Post showing a manuscript favour frank E J Baynes. On the front a stunning example of the superbly struck fancy crown TO * BE DELIVERED FREE in black, being his personal Penny Post handstamp and on the reverse an indented oval 6-O’CLOCK EVs/27SE27 timestamp, a stunning showpiece and the unusual usage of a non Governmental Free Letter sent under the personal patronage of Edward James Baynes
