Lot 20759 – 1861/63 Lot of prepaid sent from Galati to Constantinople, different rates

Austrian Consular Post in Romania (Levant): 1861/63 Lot of prepaid entire letters from the Theologo correspondence sent from Galati to Constantinople, Turkey. All bear the FRANCO handstamp (Tchilinghirian Fig. 746) and the « GALLATZ » cds (Tchilinghirian Fig. 743), but show different rates paid written on reverse (35k, 70k and 10k). An interesting lot for the student of postal history, in generally fine condition.
