Dublin City – Camden Street: 1840 (29.1) Folded entire used in the first month of the Uniform Penny Post, addressed to Tetbury in Gloucestershire, prepaid « 1 » in red manuscript, showing on face the mixed typeface Post Paid at/CAMDEN St. of Dublin in black, also boxed PAID/JA.29.E/1840 in red alongside, a rare marking of the Dublin Penny Post used in the Uniform Penny Post Period.

Note: Kane and Dittmann’s attribution of this marking to 1834 may be erroneous.
