1901 (6 Jun) A rejected die of the head in black on glazed card (96 x 62) marked « BEFORE HARDENING » and annotated « Die & Punch. » in manuscript; Rare.
Note the extra lines above the head modified in later dies it was however used for the 2 1/2d. essays B-H.
