1815 entire letter from Scotland to Montreal Canada, from London forwarded (with manuscript endorsement) from Glasgow, signed by the Earl of Buckinghamshire at lower left, the front with a fine strike of oval « SHIP LETTER/QUEBEC » in black and « P10 » and « 11 1/2 » in red manuscript, the reverse showing a fine strike of the unique small diameter « WITHDRAWNSHIP LETTER / GREENOCK / (CROWN)/POST PAID » very rare being the only known example and the only known port using it. Very fine.
