1870 (April 2). Cover front from Rio de Janeiro to Montevideo, endorsed « p ‘La Plata’ « , franked by 1858-69 2d blue, plate 9, in block of four, tied by « C83 » barred oval with matching « Rio-de-Janeiro/Paid » red cds at left. The franking overlapped the edge of the cover at left, thus resulting in a fold at left. A very rare multiple on cover.
