1839 (October 14th) Folded cover sent from Sydney, Australia via Dublin to London, showing a red oval PAID SHIP LETTER / OC * 14 / 1839 / SYDNEY ds, with deleted colonial postage « 3 » and rated « 8 », ship letter rate, plus mixed typeface DUBLIN / Ship Letter also in red, all alongside, an attractive ship letter usage

Note: The letter was posted before the Treasury Warrant was issued for the Uniform Rate (5.12.39) and arrived after the enactment.
