1829 (16.11) Folded letter sheet sent from London to Poona, India and bearing several markings and showing a clear strikes of BOMBAY/POST NOT PAID/GPO, Poona/POST NOT PAID ovals in black, sent back to London with INDIA LETTER/MARGATE and POSTAGE TO LONDON NOT PAID in red, then sent to Dublin with with on arrival there, the scarce red oval POSTAGE/L.C.O./NOT PAID of the Dublin letter Carrier’s office also applied in red, and finally redirected to Edinburgh arriving one year after posting. A well-travelled item is scarce and full of character, ex. Fred Dixon.
