York: 1840 2d blue pl.2 in horizontal strip of six with clear to good margins at top and sides, just touching in places a base, cancelled with six fine strikes of the York distinctive MC in black, small corner crease on ‘RA’, repair above ‘RB’ and other small faults, a fine looking piece and a significant rarity. The largest such multiple known with this Maltese Cross; ex Seymour.
