Lot 40330 – Faroe Islands 1940 cover from Kristiansand Service Interrupted by German invasion

1940 (14.3.) cover to Suder Island, Faroe Islands from Kristiansand, it appears that the envelope got as far as Copenhagen where faint oval return handstamp applied and framed SERVICE Interrompu in same ink, ‘Postambandet brutt’ handstamp (Broken Postal communications), returned to Norway with Kristiansand final arrival of 3.7.40, three-line Norwegian civil censor on front and German censorship on reverse; a fine and highly unusual item
