1895-1900 group of four covers incl. 1898 (May 16) OHMS envelope sent registered to England franked on the reverse with 1897-98 1s black top right corner marginal with sheet number « 0248 », 1898 (Jun 22) envelope to Switzerland with Sierra Leone 1897 Fiscals 1d (small fault) and 2 1/2d on 6d type 8 along with Niger Coast 1897-98 2d lake and Liberia 2c all tied by Freetown cds, 1895 (Jun 28) envelope from Bakana to England with 1894 1/2d to 5d tied by Bakana code « C » cds, Birmingham arrival, and used in Southern Nigeria 1900 (Jul 12) Niger Coast 2d registered envelope sent to England with two 1897-98 1d vermilions tied by clear strikes of the Asaba registered oval ds (Proud R1, probably the earliest recorded use on cover as it predates Proud’s record by 4 months).
