Lot 50928 – Ionian Islands 1851 and two 1860 entires Zacynthos to Plymouth
1851-60, group of three covers incl. 1851 (24 April) entire from Zante to Great Britain discussing price of currants to Plymouth endorsed « Via Trieste – Berlin & Ostend » showing a blue manuscript « 3 » for local carriage but no legible cancel, Trieste cds on front, reverse with framed Wien, Berlin Bahnhof and arrival date stamp (MY 4), and two 1860 entires from Zacynthos to the same addressee each endorsed « via Trieste » bearing blue despatch double ring cds and both with handstamped ‘6’ charge levied at Trieste, London transit and arrival backstamps.
