Lancaster: 1814 (Dec 28) entire from St. Croix, Danish West Indies, sent to Scotland, endorsed « p Sterling » via Lancaster », with a good strike of the crown « SHIP LETTER / LANCASTER » entry cachet in black (Robertson S4, noted as scarce by Tabeart), ms « 1/4 » and « 1/6 » rates, octagonal ds and Scottish « Addl 1/2 » wheel tax hs, a fine example.
