1840 2d blue pl.2 AK-AL pair, margins just touched at left and BK/CL in block of four, margin just touched at lower left, on cover from Newport, Monmouthshire (Wales), to Lubeck in Germany, tied by fine strikes of black MC (the pair and block would have formed the original mint block of six). A fine and unique cover to an overseas destination, truly an exhibition item.
