Description
1840 1d black pl.8 KJ-LK block of 4 on entire from London to Tenterden, with good balanced margins all round, neatly cancelled by good strikes of red MC, with ‘’T.P/Temple’’ handstamp adjacent and backstamped ‘’6 1 41’ (London). Fine and attractive, a very scarce franking (particularly so from this plate) on cover. Cert B.P.A. (2011). Ex Harmers auction 2004.
