Description
1840 1d black pl.7 FA-GF, the magnificent mint never hinged horizontal block of twelve from the left of the sheet on experimental thin paper, with full deckle edge margin at left, showing part inscription « Back be careful not to remove the Cem » and with large balanced margins on other sides, large part original gum; a beautifully fresh exhibition quality block of the highest calibre.

Certainly one of the finest multiples of the 1840 One Penny Black. A piece for the philatelic connoisseur.
