1840 (Jul 9) pre-printed lettersheet from Bridlington to Beverley (Yorkshire) with 1d black pl.1a OD with four margins tied by a fine strike of red MC, with Bridlington  »JY 9 1804 » cds in red (an unusual error for  »1840 »), interest (and amusing) content detailing the transportation charges for a prisoner to the House of Correction, the offence being  »Indecently exposing his person ». A fine and attractive cover.
