1871 Letter from Calamata (Jan. 5/17, 1871) to Genova (Jan. 16/28, 1871), via Patras (Jan. 9/21, 1871), Kerkyra (Jan. 12/24, 1871) & Brindisi (Jan. 14/26, 1871). Franked at 65 lepta corresponding to a letter up to 10 grams (single rate) transported by Austrian or Italians boats according to the 1864 convention between Greece & Italy and the circulaire of the Director of the Greek Post-offices of Jan. 5, 1865. Red « PD » for « Paid to Destination ».
The 20 lepta is from the 1870 special printings and the 5 & 40 lepta from the « cleaned plates » printings.
