1865 (Apr 26) Entire letter from Port Elizabeth to Willmore franked with single De La Rue 4d deep blue paying the internal rate for a single letter, fine to large margins, tied by barred oval numeral “2” in black with « PORT ELIZABETH » AP 26 65 despatch adjacent, reverse with red oval wax seal of « SOUTH AFRICAN CENTRAL BANK GRAAFF REINETT » as well as further despatch cds, a good example of a late use of Cape Triangular stamps during the period when the rectangular stamps were available.
