1895 (Jan 14) Small cover to Paris (Kempler correspondence), struck on reverse with « CUSTOMS/TIENTSIN » cds on dispatch and « CUSTOMS/SHANGHAI » cds, both in blue, showing on front blue « TIENTSIN CUSTOMS/MAIL MATTER » oval hs and overprinted Sage 25c (defective in lower left corner), tied by « SHANG-HAÏ/CHINE » cds (broken inner circle); a rare cover exhibiting the « Mail Matter » hs applied on official correspondence.
