1799, « POST PAID/SERVICE/FORT ST GEORGE/R » Handstamp (Giles 5 var). Lightly struck but clear oval strike with « 21 » and « Oct » date handstamps on 1799 folded official cover, addressed to Capt. Macleod, the Collector (Tax) in Salem, cover heavily toned and splitting along folds, now reinforced, a rare official handstamp, Giles records use only from Feb. to Oct. 1799. Vente aux enchères
