Lot 80154 – 1891-94 Nandgaon extensive well-researched collection

1891-94 well-researched collection on 14 pages of postage stamps. Four used copies of ½ anna green with wavy lines including one on cover (SG 5), an unused single of the variety with last character missing in middle row inscription (SG 5a), three mint pairs of the 1 anna rose with wavy lines (SG 6), an unused single of the very scarce 1 anna rose on toned laid paper (SG 6b). Officials noted are ½ anna blue lithographed official with MBD handstamp (SG O1), used single on piece from the early 2 annas red without wavy lines official (SG O3), reconstructed sheet of the ½ anna green with wavy-line officials including one used commercially on piece (SG O4), used single of the scarce 1 anna rose on laid paper official (SG O5a), reconstructed sheet of the 2 annas rose with wavy lines officials (SG O6). Few reprint blocks of four of three different values, pairs and singles with the forged MBD handstamp. Incudes a rare native cover with 1/2a green (SG5) on cover tied with intaglio handstamp. Fine to very fine (SG £3000+).
