Lot 20288 – Bavaria 1862 cover to Constantinople

1862 (31 May) outer letter sheet to Constantinopoli franked with 1862 3Kr and three 6Kr cancelled 356 Muhlradstempel with Nurnberg date stamp in association, endorsed Via Wien at top, reverse with Wien transit 1/6 and arrival cds 6/6. An underfranked cover as mail via Vienna was charged at 23Kr (9 + 14), here the red manuscript « 12 » charge is an error. The right hand 6Kr with touched margin, others good to large, some hinge reinforcement to top fold. A very unusual underfranked cover to a rare destination at this date. M Brettl Cert (2014)
