1862-63 Baden 3 Kreuzer red postal stationery envelope, small format with additional franking of Switzerland Sitting Helvetia 10 Rp. blue, both the stamp and the Baden stationery with Swiss cds « RIEHEN 15 NOV 64 » (Canton of Basel-Stadt), sent to Lienheim, Amt Waldshut in Baden, without any additional postal fee charged. According to the postal rates of 1855, this cover to Waldshut/Baden would have cost 20 Rappen (= 6 kr.). In this case, the mixed franking was fully accepted (10 Rp. = 3 Kr. Swiss share and 3 Kreuzer German share). A unique Baden-Switzerland mixed franking. Signed Seeger BPP and certificate Brettl BPP « Very rare two-country franking ».
