1868 (Sep 20) stampless entire sent to the Italian Consul in Cairo with label on reverse « Section Chalhouf / Au Piquet 198 à 202« , sent by the firm Boris Lavalley et Cie and datelined « Suez », Chalhouf al Tarraba being opened to traffic on the canal in 1868 with a postal station opening on August 16th, presumably the writer was travelling in an official capacity, some internal staining, an unrecorded label and usage.
