1872 (2.12) Envelope Benisuef, via Alexandria to Chelmsford, England, franked by Egypt 3rd Issue 1872 2 pi. yellow tied by V.R.POSTE EGIZIANE / BENISUEF / 2 DIC 1872 circular datestamp, then to Alexandria British Post Office, where franked by Great Britain 4 d vermilion plate 12 pair, tied by “B01”, with ALEXANDRIA / DE 4 72 below, backstamped with Egyptian Post Office circular datestamp of Cairo and Alexandria alongside Chelmsford arrival (Dec 16), small cvr faults, flap missing along with portion at top of cover, a very rare combination franking internal double rate (over 10 grams) + external single rate (under 16 grams=1⁄2 ounce).
