Lot 66175 – Saint Vincent 1862 Paid at St Vincent crown circle envelope

1862 small neat envelope to London bearing fine strike of red Paid at St Vincent crown circle, endorsed « paid » with manuscript « 5 » alongside in red crayon, unclear St Vincent cds, arrival at centre of AU 13. The handstamp was brought into emergency use due to a shortage of 6d values and showed that the 1d internal and 5d packet letter had been paid.
