Lot 65679 – 1929-1963 Official wine coloured leather bound loose

1929-1963 Official wine-coloured leather bound loose leaf book from the « Office of the Director of Stamping/ Dublin Castle 1946 » housing a collection of commemorative sets all with Specimen overprints, showing various types of ovpt including italic and block types, in both black and red, each set is hinged or stuck down on a separate page with a details description of the issue in both Irish and English, while all the pages are complete many of them are blank having had the stamp subsequently removed. Nevertheless, there are thirty-five complete sets from 1929 O’Connell to 1958 Aikenhead, on their specially prepared pages, plus ten sets on blank pages at the end of the book, the book is somewhat worn, and the binding requires repair, still and outstanding lot for the specialist, a rarity (67 different values with Specimen ovpts)
