1841 (Mar 26) 1d Mulready letter sheet (A9) to Bath, neatly cancelled by a stunning strike of the very rare and iconic Wotton-Under-Edge Maltese cross in black, with a superb strike of the matching d.s. on the reverse flap which shows perfectly above when opened for display, an outstanding usage and with out doubt one of the finest examples known of this distinctive cross extant, a major exhibition quality rarity; cert.
