Description
On the 12th March 1901 a further three quarter head essay was submitted, produced from an engraved steel die, some essays were of poor quality printing.1d. value state C with a three-quarter face likeness of the King facing left affixed to card (92 x 60mm.) affixed to leatherette presentation card with glazed protector over the essay, extremely rare. Cat. £13,000. Ex « Maximus » (S.G. Auctions 1970).
