Lot 251650 – 1924, « Amerika-Fahrt des LZ 126 » mail dropped over
1924, « Amerika-Fahrt des LZ 126 » mail dropped over « ALLSCHWIL BASELLAND 12.10.24 » (near Basel Switzerland) and franked with Deutsches Reich Flugpost 5 Pf (small faults) cancelled « LÖRRACH 13.10.24 » on Luftschiff Postkarte sent to Friedrichshafen. The mail dropped over Switzerland is extremely rare, according to the Eichele cert. only one postcard with Swiss franking is known and four with German franking (of which only three are in private hands).
