1864, Folded letter to DUTCH INDIES of first weight from the well-known Schierbrand correspondence from Leipzig to Batavia, manuscript routing ‘Per Landmail via Triest’, franked with a 2-issue combination 10Ngr blue 1856/61 + 1/2Ngr orange + 3Ngr (2) brown 1863, bearing at front taxation 13 4/10 and at back Trieste taxation 15-52,

on arrival at Batavia redirected to Samarang and Amarana, one of two covers known from Schierbrand correspondence which were forwarded in the Netherlands Indies; an attractive and rare franking to an exceptionel destination,
