1914-31 Waterlow Seahorse 2s6d sepia-brown with « SPECIMEN » ovpt (type GB23) in mint n.h. right marginal block of 4 from plate HV1, with proving guide cross, some light gum ceasing, a very fine positional multiple which is unique in private hands; ex BPMA archive, plus the normal Waterlow 2s6d in mint n.h. top left marginal pair (hinged in margin only) from plate HV1.

Note: The « SPECIMEN » type 23 overprint was used for internal Post Office purposes and not for UPU distribution.
