Description
1857, First Issue 1d blue, very fine with wide margins all around, tied by circular date stamp « 4 OC » (month inverted) on complete « The Natal Mercury » newspaper (Durban September 1, 1859) sent to London. Only six newspapers are recorded with this stamp and this one belongs to the finest known. A great Natal rarity; Cert. J.F.Brun (2011).
