1860 (Jun 19) envelope from Bridgetown to British Guiana, with 1852-55 (4d) brownish red pair (close to large margins) and 1858 1d pale blue pin perf. pair (trimmed from the sheet, clear margins), tied by « 1 » barred numerals, paying 10d double rate (2d for the Colony and 8d for the Packet) and rated « 2 » on arrival, reverse with Barbadoes double arc despatch and Demerara arrival cds, this bearing one of only two covers recorded bearing a multiple of the 1855 (4d) (the other from the same correspondence with the same franking), a major Barbados rarity showing the largest known multiple of the highest values of the first issue; cert.
