1858 (Apr 28) envelope to England with 1855-58 white paper (1d) pale blue (just cut into at top left corner otherwise fine to large margins) tied by crisp « 1 » barred oval paying the internal rate, with ms « 6 » and « PAID / AT / BARBADOES » crowned circle adjacent to pay the 6d packet rate, London transit below, reverse with code « 1 » cds despatch, Barbadoes double arc ds and Stockport arrival, a fine and attractive franking, one of only four such combinations to the UK according to Peter Ford, this being the finest strike of the crowned circle and the latest recorded to the UK; ex Hackmey (DFSA 1986, « a very pretty cover »).
