1877 (Sep 18) Entire sent registered to London with 1863-77 perf.12 1/2 4d bright rose and 6d lilac pair, tied by « A05 » barred ovals with Nassau registered cds at lower left, endorsed at top left « Registered » with ms « 1 » and « 5 », very fine and attractive, a very rare and important franking, possibly the earliest recorded franked mail from the Bahamas; cert. BPA (1975); ex « Staircase ».
