Description
1841 1d red pl.12 AA-BC in block of 6 on wrapper to Lubeck (Schleswig-Holstein, Germany) from Hastings with good to large margins and six fine strikes of black MC, « 2 » in manuscript applied in Germany for the local delivery charge. The block has been lifted and replaced (for cleaning and to flatten out a crease) but a very scarce and attractive cover going abroad; cert. Holcombe (1992).
