1840 (May 16) 1d Mulready letter sheet, stereo A64, sent from Swansea (Wales) to Southampton, cancelled unusually by a four red Maltese Crosses, with Swansea town ds on reverse in black, heavy vertical filing crease with some reinforcement internally and splitting to top of crease, horizontal crease lower part and some soiling, a scarce provisional May date use.
