Lot 50163 – 1896 Envelope franked with Large Hermes Head 20L printed

1896 Envelope franked with Large Hermes Head 20L printed & 2L strip of five from 1875-80 issue on yellowish or cream paper – postal stationery with 20 Lepta printed stamp, franked with 2 Lepta Grey flesh in strip of 5, cancelled with « ΖΑΚΥΝΘΟΣ 20.12.96 » arrival « TRIESTE ». At that time only the 1896 Olympic Games stamps were allowed. Very late use of Large Hermes Heads. EXTREMELY RARE (it was listed at Vlastos Philatelic Center for €3’500).
