Collection: 1949-69 Herm Island collection written up on Hagners in box with impressively comprehensive coverage. The collection commences with the 1949 6d Map and 1/- Pigeon Post black proofs affixed to card (very scarce), then extensive specialised coverage of the 1949 Map issue with the ten different printings mint, some used, many sheets of thirty, 2/- and 3/- booklets, covers etc, 1953 Coronation with two illustrated covers, then the various sets with proofs, some bromides and photographic essays, 1961 Europa in sheets of thirty, 1966 Churchill set imperforate and in sheets of 20, through to 1969. A large range of covers also, some postcards and emphemera, the Aitchinson and Backman catalogues and all things Herm related, a remarkable accumulation, diligently assembled over many years.
