Lot 10351 – 1840 « V R » Official, AA-AB corner pair showing the

1840 « V R » Official, AA-AB corner pair from the upper right of the sheet, showing the plate letter « A » and the marginal inscription, with close to large margins on other sides, AA with part and AB with full original gum; vertical crease between impressions. The reverse bears an ink inscription in the margin which reads, « W.E. image to … » and is dated « March 30 1882 » and is signed in pencil « Denny Marshall ». A superb exhibition show piece with the only other issued plate letter piece being the strip in the Tomasini collection recently sold by DFSA.
