Uniform Penny Post. 1840 (May 5) entire from Todmorden to Halifax with large cursive « P2 » handstamp in red with a very fine matching red « Todmorden / Penny Post » handstamp adjacent, Halifax arrival backstamp, the « P2 » handstamp is unrecorded in the County catalogues and this example was the source of the illustration for Walker, likely the unique example; along with a front from Todmorden with a cursive « P1 » handstamp; ex Peter Chadwick (on his display page).
