Lot 30401 – Greece Large Hermes Heads postal history

Postal history accumulation with some 1860s pre stamp entires mostly from Syros or Zante to Trieste, Large Hermes Head covers with 1861 entire from Marseille to Patras with four colour postage due franking of the Paris print with Vlastos handstamp, further 1861-62 entires some signed Vlastos and a 1862 cover 10l and 40l from Smyrna, Turkey, ex Burrus (1545), 1863 four colour outward franking entire to Trieste (ex Pemberton), 1867 disinfected entire from Venice to Syra franked 5l, 20l and 40l on arrival, other covers from European countries franked on arrival including one from Papal States, 1L franked newspapers, inverted 20l numeral covers with Holcombe Certs. A fine original lot that is sure to reward careful viewing (214).
