1851 6d Slate-Violet and 1852–57 3d Brown-Red on GB 1d Pink Envelope – Pre-Cartier 10d RateEnvelope from Goderich U.C., NOV 17 1854, bearing 6d slate-violet on laid paper and 3d brown-red on thin wove oily paper (possibly 4th order), on Great Britain 1851 1d pink stationery envelope. The envelope shows “8d Stg.” handstamp barred by concentric circles, circular datestamp via London 20/11, Cunard “Asia” from New York 29/11 via Liverpool 10/12 to Ampthill.
